BN/RN Nursing Degree Program
This Baccalaureate degree program for registered nurses enables graduates of 2 and 3 year diploma programs to complete the requirements for a BN/RN degree. The BN/RN Program consists of 66 credit hours, while the basic Nursing degree program at UNB consists of 141 credit hours. The BN/RN Program is available via distance education to nurses
Entrance requirements:
Successful completion of a diploma program for RN's
1000 hours of experience in nursing for part-time study/1750 hours for full-time study
eligibility for active registration with the Nurses Association
Full-time students have 6 years and part-time students have 10 years in which to complete the program, counted from the time of their first nursing course. Please note that these time limits only apply once students have begun to take nursing courses. Students are strongly encouraged to register in the program as soon as they begin taking ANY courses towards their BN/RN degree, so that they can be kept informed of course offerings, acceptability of courses taken at other universities, news about the program, etc.
