One would be eligible for admission to degree course in printing engineering or any related branch like Printing Engineering & Graphics Communication or Printing and Packaging Technology, if one has done diploma in printing technology and not mechanical engineering. Future and scope of printing engineering: Printing engineers mainly work in printing houses, in companies involved in print copy / print form production - plate, screen, cylinder, in print finishing, with suppliers to the printing and graphics industry and apparatus engineering companies (printing machines, book-binding machines, reproduction equipment, and so on). In these positions they are responsible for the fields of production control, organization and planning, job organization and scheduling, methodology development and control, quality assurance, and in some cases also for purchasing/sales/planning as well as financing and accounting. Media engineers also work in advertising agencies, software houses, software consultancy, publishing houses, in the film/cinema, TV and radio industries, where they conceive, select and assign media as ancillary tools for communications processes.
