Dear Sir,

I have just got done with my first year examinations in BSc.(H) in Economics from Calcutta University. And as of what i feel i should have a clear idea of what should I aim for. Presently, I am quite confused regarding what is the field of course that i should be taking further and which should i aim for.

I am keenly interested in the field of Economics and Business Management. I dont have much of interest in Accounting and Book Keeping, so i dont prefer to opt for CA. I would prefer CS(Company Secretaryship) to it. I know none of them are less difficult but i should choose the one i would feel interested in.

Apart from that, I am also considering the courses in Linguistics ( like german, Spanish, or Chinese(Mandarin)).

My parents have been constantly reminding me of the fact that I should choose to utilize the time apart from my primary course, as some additional are also required in todays scenario, but am in a big-time fix. I feel should I start my preparations for CAT/MAT to get into MBA institutes, or choose to do MSc further( about which I presently dont have the faintest of an idea),or should I choose to go into linguistic courses till I complete my second year and then in third year start for CAT, etc. preparations, or start for CS?......

Therefore, It is my earnest request to you to help me out of this fix with your kind and valued suggestions.I would be really very grateful to you for your response..

Now days there is very good scope for Economics graduates, You can get very good jobs in financial sector institutions like banking, stock market , finance companies. Your current stream is also very good and after completing your graduation you should opt for MBA course or for Masters in the field of Economics.
