The granting of a visa to study in Australia is dependent on the student obtaining Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).This health insurance provides cover for the student in the event of illness or accident. In general, OSHC pays a benefit (which may not be the full fee, the student may have to pay a 'gap' between the fee charged and the benefit paid).
