hi..im Vaishali n im pursuing MBA in HR through distance mode from Punjab Technical for Distance Learning, Jalandhar. i have few doubts regarding my career. 1. Though i am confused its UGC granted or not and its certificate valuable or not. im worried about the credibility of the degree since its a distance education one. i would like to know if they offer placements.if no, wat would be the career prospects after i finish the course? 2. i dont want to spend another 2 yrs on studies again. so are there any one year programs which can help me in getting a good job?Does doing a one year program related to finance help me in getting a better job? 3. i have heard ugc take action against this university wat is it? i also doing job so i cannot go to a regular college.but i can attend the classes in weekends) hoping to get all my doubts cleared soon. thankyou.

Punjab Technical University is recognized by UGC, however there is no placement provided by the university after the completion of the course. Securing a job would depend much upon knowledge and skill of the student.

There is not much information regarding action taken by UGC, so would not be able to comment regarding same.

There are one year executive MBA programs in finance for professionals with work experience.
