Coaching for Entrance Exams

  • Hi, It has been written in one of the eligibility requirements to apply for CAT 08 in the application form that, a candidate who is still waiting for final year results of the Bachelor degree has to provide a provisional certificate from the Institute, which certifies that he/she has secured 50% of marks for the years completed. As I'm the one who is still waiting for my final year results, and my total marks obtained are not 50% till the second year of my graduation, is it that I can't apply for CAT this year?, But I'm sure that I'll be able to secure more than 50% overall. Please let me know.

You can appear for CAT exam, provided you are in Final year. But to get admission to any top B school, you need have minimum 50% marks in Bachelors with good CAT percentile. If you don't get 50% in Bachelors degree, then it counts no where if you score well in CAT. For details: CAT.
