New York film academy offers two year course in masters in fine arts in film making.
Tuition fees: $17,000 per semester
Financial Aid:
1. THE SHOWBIZ SOFTWARE SCHOLARSHIP, PRESENTED BY MEDIA SERVICES
Amount: $25,000 covering full tuition to NYFA’s One-Year Producing Program in New York City or Los Angeles.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to entertainment production staff (managers, coordinators, accountants etc.) who want to pursue a career as a TV or Film producer.
Preliminary criteria for scholarship:
A letter of recommendation by three credited producers.
Minimum of two years involvement in US-based film/TV productions.
Statement of purpose including professional goals.

2. BRETT RATNER $15,000 Free Tuition Grant
Through the generosity of Brett Ratner, the New York Film Academy is able to offer a limited amount (50) of up to $15,000 tuition grants. This NOW applies to one year, two year and MFA programs. To qualify, applicants must show a credible need for financial assistance through documentation (i.e. parents’ income tax statement, if dependent; personal income tax, if independent). Additionally, applicants must submit a Personal Statement explaining why they would like to attend the New York Film Academy. ATTENTION: GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SEPT-08, OCT-08, JAN-09.
Students are usually allowed to work part time for 20 hours per week.
