Hi .. My name is Rashi Morbia ... I am a prospective student and I wanted to transfer at a University in New York City for Spring semester 2009 to complete the 16th year of education and earn a bachelors degree from USA... I have a bachelor's degree in commerce i.e. I have 15 yrs of education from India... I have given my TOEFL and scored a 98 ... What program should i take up in undergraduate programs as i want to further study and get an MBA degree in marketing ? What are the factors that are taken into consideration by the universities in order to be eligible for admission ?Also have some more questions... Awaiting Your Reply .. Thank You !

Hi Rashmi. For a transfer to the USA, you can major in ECON, BBA or Accounting. You will also have to convey to the universities which courses you have done in India, so that you can get a waiver for those courses in the US. For MBA admission universities look at your academic profile, Work Experience, GMAT score, extra curricular activities Regards, US Counsellor.

  You Should get Bachelors from a 4 year University and not from a community college as it's for 2 years and then for Junior year you would have to transfer to a 4 year University. Yes you can go to the same university for MBA if they have a business School or even apply to a different university for MBA after you have take GMAT.
