i am studying btech in biotechnology engg in nit rourkela . i want to know what r the avenues and scope of this field and if i want to pursue ms , then which are the fields will be best for me .please mention names of the universities which are the best in the business and what r the specialization they r offering.

Avenues and scope of Biotechnology: With over 100 Biotech companies, India is positioned at number three in Biotech industrial growth, just behind Australia and China. In 2006-07, India achieved a significant growth of 33% in Biotech industry. India is set to become the Biotech capital of the world in the coming years, owing to a sustained annual industrial growth rate of over 30% in the last six years. The Government of India provides large-scale employment to most Biotechnologists in its research laboratories. Growing at almost 30% during this decade, Indian Biotechnology industry is likely to touch the mark of US$ 5 Billion by the end of 2010.
