Admission to MBBS programs in India is based on rank obtained in entrance test. Students with 50 % marks or above in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology are eligible for appearing in most of the entrance. The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes. Students can take admission in MBBS programs abroad in countries like US, U.K, Australia, Singapore, Russia etc. Students with 50 % marks or above in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology are eligible for admissions to these programs. Additional examinations like TOEFL, IELTS etc would be required as per the requirement of university. For list of MBBS colleges and there details in India and abroad, Click here.

Why there is an upper age limit in India only, why not in USA?
