For PhD in Australia you need to first prepare a research proposal. Once you have prapared it you will mail the same to various universities. Then you will receive their acknowledgement and if there is a vacancy then you will be told to apply to the university with all your academic documents, research proposal and email proofs. PhD has a flexible intake and is open throughout the year. An IELTS of overall 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 will be required. There are a lot of Australian Universities that promote research like Australian National University, University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, Monash University, Macquaries unIversity, etc and many more.
