JEE consists of 2 rounds -- the preliminary examination (screening test) and the main examination. Only those candidates who qualify in the screening test are eligible to appear in the main examination. There are two question papers, each of three hours duration. Both the question papers consist of three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Questions in these papers are of objective type. Incorrect answer would be penalized by negative marking. The syllabus of the examination is based on topics covered by the CBSE Board Examination (AISSCE) and the ISC Board Examination. It should be noted that all topics of the AISSCE and the ISC are not included in the JEE syllabus. For more information regarding IIT JEE, please click on link below: IIT JEE.
