In Australia, as per the rules under the GSM scheme w.e.f 1st sep 2007 if you go for any course of minimum 2 years duration or a course which has a work load of 4 semeters then you avail 1.5 years of work permit. After working in the industry for 1 year you will be eligible to apply for PR in Australia. Work experience is not necessary for getting PR but if you have it then you get additional points for the same and moreover before you can apply for PR you have to work in the industry for at least 1 year. We are an education portal and can provide you any information in regards to education but for any queries specific to PR, please contact the Australian high Commission or the immigration consultants. Also the detailed breakdown of the points is available on the immigration website i.e. (www.immi.gov.au). You can also look for a course with TAFE SA (Tafe South Australia) for Diploma of Community Welfare Work for 2 years duration and has a January intake. It's fees per year is AUD 13,000 and the IELTS of 5.5 will be acceptable there. Rather than going for the course you have mentioned, you can go for the course with TAFE SA and you will not have to take ELICOS as the bands of 5.5 are completely acceptable.
