    For admission in US universities you have to write GRE and TOEFL and score as per the admission criteria of respective universities. GRE measures your quantitative and verbal skills and TOEFL evaluates your English proficiency. Universities & Colleges stress on a good academic background. However one can compensate by having a higher GRE score. TOEFL score plays an important part to secure teaching or research assistantships in US universities. GRE Scores help many Graduate students to gain scholarships.
