Australia-Application Procedure
Step 1
Before selecting a course, you should be crystal clear about stream of
education you want to pursue. Once you have decided, start looking for the
institutions which offer the course(s) you want to study. It’s always advisable
to go through institutions’ websites and online brochures to have a better idea
about what the course curriculum offers and whether it’s in tune with the
industry needs or not.
Step2 Depending upon the choice of programs offered, students can search for colleges in Australia. However, the fees, joining time and duration of the course may vary, depending on the university. It is better to narrow down your choices to a select few institutes as the application cost can be quite high otherwise.
Step 3 To apply to institutions in Australia, students should first check the course brochures or website of the university of their choice to see if they meet the course requirements.
The process of applying to a university for higher education depends on whether
or not the course and the university/college/provider is affiliated with one of
the five Tertiary Admission Centers (TACs). For courses administered by a TAC,
applicants need to apply to a university or course through the appropriate TAC. For all other higher education courses, applicants are invited to apply directly to the provider.
Each school has its own admission requirements and policies. Some of the general policies talk about the correct way of filling in the personal application form, official records of academic achievements records, teacher recommendations, and proof of financial capability, IELTS grades, and more.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the standard test of English for students intending to study in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Most of the time, graduate students are asked to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Those students applying for MBA and other graduate business programs are required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
Note of Caution: Interested students should bear in mind that all universities and institutions approved to offer degrees and other higher education awards are listed on the registers of the 'Australian Qualifications Framework'. Institutions that are not listed on the AQF are not recognized by the Commonwealth, state and mainland territory governments of Australia. Students should plan to reach Australia at least two-three weeks before the semester commences.
Step 4 Once you’ve decided on the college and the course, you should start collecting documents like the syllabus of the last program studied, result certificates and recommendation letters from teachers.
