The AIEEE 2009 paper could be termed as moderate in terms of level of difficulty. Even the number of questions was reduced from 35 to 30 per section. Thus, candidates had to complete 90 questions in 180 minutes. The total marks for the combined paper was 432. 144 marks were pegged against the collective questions from each section.
