Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College (ALACC) was officially established in November 2006. The College is one of Australasia's premier contemporary Aged Care, Allied Health and Management Educations Institute, which provide students with a ‘pathway’ into the Aged Care and Management industry from TAFE to University courses. The College is a Vocational Education and Training (VET) institute based in Melbourne, with campuses at Preston and Dandenong.

ALACC offers nationally recognized, high quality accredited courses to the local and international market. The college is a registered Training Provider (RTO) and meets standards agreed to by Federal and State Governments in Australia. It offers courses in the areas of Aged Care, Community, Allied Health and Management. International students can also study certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses, and on successful completion, apply for articulation into university degree programs.

All programs are delivered by highly qualified and experienced Trainers in the fields of Aged, Community, Health and Management. It’s partnerships with universities enable students to transfer from College courses into some degrees and post-graduate studies. The atmosphere at ALACC is very student friendly. ALACC teachers and administration staff are always happy to help students with any problems which they may face and work to make the students feel at home in the ALACC family.

The College’s programs have been developed to meet the demands of the ageing population. They are innovative, stimulating and targeted, so that students achieve maximum outcomes. While studying, students will also develop a range of skills for their future life including leadership, communication, problem solving, teamwork, innovation and entrepreneurship through the College’s diploma in Management and Advance Diploma in Community Services Management courses. The programmes are flexible and innovative. Classes are small so that the teacher- student ratio is kept to a minimum.

Preston is a residential and industrial suburb of Melbourne, Victoria located 10 km north of Melbourne's central business district. As part of Darebin City, Preston has an active and eclectic Artists and DIY community which is contemporary, experimental and culturally diverse. Writers, musicians and visual artists flock to the locality for performance and collaboration. Darebin celebrates the artistry and diversity of the community with regular festivals and events such as the Darebin Music Feast and the High Vibes festival.

In addition to being conveniently located in Preston, the campus of Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College is equipped with modern style classrooms, library resources, student recreational areas including kitchen facilities and computer labs with free access to internet and e-mail. The State Government registering authority monitors ALACC, and subjects it to regular external audits to verify adherence to the standards. The College is recognised by the Commonwealth State and Federal government to deliver courses under the CRS; Return to Work program; Productivity Places Program and Better Skills Better Care Programs.

The Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College is committed to providing quality educational programs for nurses, care staff and healthcare practitioners in a wide range of health care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, extended care and community health. The College provides students with nationally recognized qualifications.
