First-year course work and activities take students through each step of the business development cycle. Babson emphasizes integrative learning through its modular curriculum. A module is a carefully channeled combination, of academic ‘streams’ that together shape and define a larger topic. Each module is cross-disciplinary and builds on those that came before. The first-year MBA curriculum features four modules:

• Creative management in dynamic organizations
• Assessing business opportunities
• Designing and managing the delivery system
• Growing businesses in a changing global environment

The second year, builds on the students’ first-year experience. It encourages students to focus their studies through a combination of required courses and electives.
