SAT test is of two types. The SAT 1 is the Scholastic Aptitude Test, taken by students applying for the bachelor’s degree. The scores on the SAT test are important, as they determine the colleges that students can apply to, as well as their scholarships and financial aid awards. There are two sections on the SAT 1, the verbal and the mathematics section. Each section is of 800 points. The SAT 1 score is valid for a period of 5 years.
The SAT 2 test is an aptitude test that evaluates a student’s knowledge of specific subjects. Each subject test is scored on a maximum of 800 points. Students may choose to attempt any subject of their choice. The SAT 2 is not required for admissions purposes by all Universities. Some of the Universities that require the SAT 2 are University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University and University of California Berkeley. BI prepares students for both these tests.
