Open to already registered nurses, this is a specialism course, offering training in wide range of areas such as Community Mental Health Nursing, District Nursing, School Nursing, Public Health Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing. The teaching standards of this course has been ranged as ‘Excellent’ in the QAA subject review. A brand new multimillion pound Health Studies Centre offers state-of-the-art facilities to the students. The 2006/7 Guardian Good University Guide ranked Social Care of Brunel as 10th in the UK. The students are offered fieldwork placements and are exposed to recent researches in the fields of child development, comparative social work, community care, and race and social work.
