An interdisciplinary bachelors course studying human health, disease and treatment, the BSc Biomedical Science program course trains its graduates in the concepts related to is to provide an understanding of the main subject areas in biosciences and medically related research. These subject areas include anatomy, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, genetics, immunology and physiology and prepare them for careers in the fields of clinical trials, data management, diagnosis, medicine, pathology and pharmaceutical research. They may also opt for further studies.

The students are trained to be leaders and responsibility-bearers. Brunel offers well-equipped and technically updated teaching and research laboratories, where students will find 3D image analysis and a full range of fluorescence microscopy. Faculty members are nationally and internationally renowned for their research work. School of Health Sciences and Social Care offering this course was awarded a Grade 4 and recognized as the National Centre for Excellence in Research in the latest research assessment (RAE).
