Main Campus

Carnegie Mellon's campus is situated in 100 acres that are located centrally in the business and research districts of Oakland, the educational and medical hub of the city. Five miles from downtown area of Pittsburgh, this urban campus shares its borders with residential neighborhood and the Schenley park that sprawls across 500 acres.
While the park offers scenic views and interesting trails for jogging, mountainbiking and cross-country skiing, the other facilties that students can avail here include a public golf course, tennis courts, outdoor pool and ice-skating rink. On campus, students can take part in over 90 student organizations and clubs that will help them to grow and develop skills to complement their overall academic achievements. Near Carnegie Campus, there are plenty of shopping areas and outdoor recreation facilties.
