D&A (Design and Arts) College of New Zealand is dedicated to tertiary-level education catering to the creative design and arts industries. Funded by the New Zealand government and carrying the quality assurance afforded by the government agency NZQA, D&A is the only institute of its kind in the South Island of New Zealand. Today, over 70 professionals train the students across seven disciplines if Architectural Design, Contemporary Photography, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interior Design and Makeup Design. There are around 400 students, from all over New Zealand, the Pacific region, Asia, Europe, North America and South America, currently enrolled in the College. The institute provides accelerated pathways to higher education or employment prospects in New Zealand and all over the world. The College has partnerships with Academy of Fine Art and Craft (AFAC), Auckland University of Technology (AUT), National Institute... The students of the Design & Arts College of New Zealand may look forward to completing their degrees from various institutes having strategic partnerships with the D&A College, based on their portfolios. The students may seek the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts can be taken from Otago Polytechnic, Bachelor of Visual Arts from Auckland University of Technology, Teaching Diploma from Graduate School of Education and Christchurch College of Education and the degree of Master of Arts from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. The Bachelor of Architecture degree can be completed from Auckland University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne in Australia or UNITEC, Victoria University in Wellington. The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture can be completed from the Lincoln University. The Bachelor of Interior Design and Architecture and Bachelor of Design program can be studied at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology and the Bachelor of Commerce and Marketing programs can be availed from the Lincoln University. Fashion Designing studies can be completed at Auckland University of Technology, Central St Martins Fashion College in London in UK, Massey University, Otago Polytechnic and Victoria University in Wellington. Bachelors degree in Graphic Designing can be obtained from Massey University and Wanganui School of Design and Masters degree cab be obtained from the Washington School of Design in USA. Design & Arts College of New Zealand- Main CampusThe building where D&A college is situated offers all the facilities needed to train the students across all the seven disciplines. The partner company, Aspect provides English Language teaching and accommodation services to international students for a nominal fee.
