This clinical-based programme in General Medicine employs practical approach to learning. The curriculum of this programme covers four eight-week preceptorships (intensive clinical learning in an off-campus setting under physician preceptors) in the senior year. Two of them are in Primary Care, one in Surgery and one in Internal Medicine. Each preceptorship is for eight credits. They require visits to campus thrice per semester for six days in total and each visit is one to three days long. The other modules covered in the curriculum are:

• Emergency Care - theories, practice and team approach;
• Physician Assistance - clinical medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, professional practice issues and laboratory medicine;
• Patient Assessment - advanced evaluation in primary care setting and field experience; and
• Surgical principles and procedures.
