The B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is a four year program. Students will have to cover a vast core curriculum, as well as select and complete seven electives from the vast reservoir of subjects given by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Core subjects for the first year include Chemistry I and II, Computer Programming & Utilization, Mathematics I and II, Economics, Chemistry Lab. I and II, Physics I and II, Physics Lab. I and II, Basic Electronic Circuits, Engineering Graphics & Drawing, NCC, NSS, NSO, Abstractions and Paradigms for Programming, Programming Paradigms Lab, and Workshop Practice I and II.

In the second year, students will have to cover the following subjects: Discrete Structures, Probability Random, Processes and statistical Inference, Electronics Design I, Introduction to Computer Organization and Design Lab, Electronics Design Lab I, Data Structures and Algorithms, Mathematics III, Software Systems Lab, Data Structures Lab, Physics III (DO2), Philosophy/Sociology, Electric Circuits Lab, Introduction to English Literature, Introduction to Computer Organization and Design, Computer Organisation and Design, and, Comp Organisation and Design lab.

In the third year, students are introduced to the concepts of Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Operating Systems Lab, Principles of Programming Languages, Language Processors Lab, Language Processors, Theory of Computation, AI Lab, Computer Networks, Database and Information Systems, Programming Languages Lab, Database and Information Systems Lab, Computer Networks Lab, Operating Systems, and Artificial Intelligence. Work visits and one elective are also scheduled during the third year.

In the fourth year, students will have to select and complete six of the seven mandatory electives along with practical training and seminars.

Computer Science Engineering

For entry into the B.Tech. courses, foreign and Indian national applicants have to clear a common admission test known as the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE).
