Course Description

:

The M.Tech in Microelectronics in Electrical Engineering is a two years program where student will be introduced to the concepts of Physical Electronics, DSP and its application, Bio Sensors & BioMs, Hardware Description, Optimization, Computational Electromagnetics, VLSI Technology, Design, and Design Lab in the first semester.

The core subjects for the second semester are given below :

  • Nanoelectronics
  • Simulation of circuits and devices
  • System Design
  • Advanced Network Analysis
  • CMOS Analog VLSI Design
  • Embedded Systems Design
  • Testing & Verification of VLSI Circuit
  • Physics of Transistors
  • Introduction to MEMS
  • Aids for the motor and sensory disabled

In the third semester, students will be expected to master the principles of DSP and applications, RF Microelectronics chip design, Foundations of VLSI CAD, and Hardware Description Languages.

The fourth semester is devoted to projects and Institute electives from within and outside the department. The study program also stresses on M.Tech Seminars, development of Communication Skills, projects, R&D Project with Group Convener approval, and lab work.
