p>Thge Institute's B.Tech. programme covers four years duration and eight semesters. The programme includes Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Integrated Circuits, Electrical Machines, Communications, Computer, Control, Instrumentation, Electronics, Drives, and Power Systems.The first year students are instructed in a compulsory course which introduces them to Department and the discipline of Electrical Engineering. The first semester covers all aspects of Electrical Engineering, while in the fifth semester the students have to take up elective subjects among the following options:

• Information and Communication Technology
• Integrated Electronics
• Circuits
• Control and Automation Engineering
• Power, Machines and Power Electronics

These elective subjects trains the students to enhance their practical and technological skills in the Power and Energy sectors. The final year engages the students to work on projects under faculty supervision. Students then take up a practical training of sixty days’ duration in any industrial establishment and travel to industries across the country as a part of their overall engineering education. During the third year, the students also register for courses on professional practice in order to fit themselves in the highly progressing Electrical Engineering sector.
