Department of Pediatric was founded in the year 1932. The basic aim behind the establishment of this department was to offer mother and infant care. The duration of MBBS Pediatric program is 6 years. It trains the students to attain specialisation in prophylactic medical treatment for healthy and ill children. Students of Pediatrics study diagnostics and treatment of various childhood diseases and age peculiarities of child’s organism in the normal state. Key specialisations available are Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric.

Paediatrics

Aspiring applicants should have successfully cleared examination in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. It is also mandatory to have obtained an overall score of 50% marks in the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This requirement is relaxed for SC/ST and OBC candidates who need a score of 40% marks in order to apply for admission in this program.

• Higher Secondary (10+2) mark sheet and TC
• HIV – AIDS Test Report with a Registered Medical Practitioners sign and seal
