The Master of Information Technology program is specifically designed to equip students with the highest level of skills in a postgraduate setting. The Masters program capitalizes on the research expertise of the institute and partners with the industry to allow students to specialize in their field of interest. The students can choose to specialize in Web Technologies, Software Engineering, System and Network Management, Information Systems, Management or System Security, or do a broader range of material.

The program gives students the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in key growth areas within the Information and Communication Technologies industry. This gives a competitive advantage in employment over recent graduates from Bachelor programs, and helps students advance their career in the chosen field.

Entry Requirements

:

The candidates applying for admission to the course need to fulfill one of the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor degree with a substantial practical or theoretical computing component with a strong GPA
  • A Graduate Diploma in an IT discipline with a strong GPA
  • A Bachelor degree in a non-IT discipline with a strong GPA and at least three years' professional experience in an IT role
  • Applicants who do not meet the normal entry requirements can enroll in the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (one year of full-time study) and, upon successful completion, be admitted to the Master program

The English language requirements for foreign students are as follows:

  • A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with 6.0 in each section
  • A minimum TOEFL paper based score of 580 overall, with 53 Listening, 52 Reading, 59 Structure/ Written Expression and 5.0 TWE
  • A minimum TOEFL computer based score of 237 overall, with 19 Listening, 19 Reading, 25 Structure/Writing
  • A minimum TOEFL internet based score of 92 overall, with 18 Listening, 17 Reading, 22 Writing, 22 Speaking
