NMIMS has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by ICL in 2004, and has grown steadily to an intake of over 2000 students annually.

NMIMS is the first business school to be accredited and awarded a ‘Five Star’ rating by the UGC sponsored National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which is the highest rating that is awarded by the council. The Institute looks to strengthening the corporate foundation by imparting training to students in the latest techniques and know-how. Management Development Programmes (MDP) are held across the year at the Institute. Conceptual thoughts and corporate experiences are put together for the benefit of the students.

NMIMS University has a team of over 150 full time faculty members, rich in academic and industry experience. Faculty members often take innovative initiatives to promote industry institute partnerships. The Institute has an excellent placement record for full-time students, with 100% placement. Multinational and national companies from IT, FMCG, Service Sector, Heavy Industry, Banking, Retailing and Advertising visit the campus in order to recruit.

The Institute has entered into strategic tie-ups with various corporate and educational houses. The tie-ups also include faculty exchange. A faculty member is substituted with an Industrial manager in a unique interchange of their roles for a period of three months. During this time the manager stays on campus, while the faculty designs a case study for the industry on the basis of his experience.

Some partner concerns of the institute are foreign universities like, ESSCA, Angers, France; EUROMED, Marseille, France; Universiti Uttara Malaysia; Athens University, Greece; Stockholm University, Sweden and Middlesex University.
