National Law University established in 1999 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan is a multi-faculty University that appreciates the rule of law in all branches of knowledge. Besides law, students are taught on other useful subjects like economics, Policy Sciences, science, management and finance. The university has established five schools of learning for multidisciplinary total education and fulfilling the growing needs of legal profession in the global context. These are the School of Policy Science, School of Management, School of Science, School of Languages and School of Law.

The University has taken great care in structuring various subjects to make the Honours courses in their respective streams highly innovative and knowledge oriented.
The faculty of the Institute trains the students in globally important subjects such as:

• Global accounting and legal standards
• Infrastructure systems
• Project finance and good governance
• Social justice and equation of interest

Each year students undergo a placement program for two months with an NGO, member of the bar, bench, corporate law firm, Government and companies. The various learning and teaching methodologies comprise co-operative teaching, case studies, lecture demonstration, group discussions, and self-conducted research. The courtroom exercises are also an integral part of the curriculum from the very first year.
The University also offers Postgraduate Programs in Constitutional Governance, Intellectual Property Law, Management and Law, Insurance, International Trade Law and WTO and Banking and Finance.The courses are designed from various systems of knowledge relating to forensic sciences, information technology science, the growing demand of human rights movements, international trade and commerce and international criminal justice.
The University has developed a good relationship with several law firms, companies, industry, advocates, and judges, in the country, through the students’ performance during their internship.
