To develop patterns of teaching a Certificate/Diploma, Undergraduate,
Post-Graduate and Doctoral level and to maintain a high standard of
education and its applications, to create capabilities for upgrading science
and technology infrastructure to the global standards.
To develop training facilities in higher education including
professional education and allied fields; to provide for inter-relationships
for national and global participation in the field of science and technology
and its allied fields.
To function as a learning resource centre.
To provide for arrangement for national and global participation in the
field of higher and professional education including technical education;
