Aerospace engineering is an exciting profession focusing on the analysis, design and operation of sophisticated aerospace hardware and software systems. The term ‘aerospace’ includes both atmospheric and space flight.

The program equips students with the analytical, technological and managerial skills required for the practice of aerospace engineering. Aerospace engineering graduates may be involved with several major aspects of the industry including:

Design, testing and manufacture: Engineers participate in the conceptual design, preliminary design or detailed design of aerospace platforms. Manufacturing operations require involvement in advanced materials handling and processing methods, project liaison, quality assurance and project management.

Research and development: The aerospace industry initiates and maintains extremely demanding performance and safety requirements, which demand high caliber research and development.
