Graduates of the program acquire skills and knowledge of food processing, food preservation and the general properties of food materials. The program seeks to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills required to operate effectively in the food industry at various management levels. It is designed not only to train recent graduates as food technologists, but also to enable those already employed in the food and associated industries to enhance their professional status. The coursework is presented using a variety of learning methods including formal lectures, flexible learning activities, and reviews of current literature; oral presentations and practical experience.
