Course Name:Master of Applied Science (Information Technology) Course Description:This program is unique in Australia for the breadth of study topics offered and the depth of specialisation available. It is designed for graduates who want to study advanced postgraduate level computing and gain exposure to world-class technologies. In this program, students will address the theoretical underpinnings behind new software technology, and at the same time, gain practical exposure to software tools. Students will be prepared to think about the technologies that will be in use over the next 5?10 years. Students study a cluster of courses (subjects) chosen from one of the School?s specialist areas of research: Advanced Databases, Bioinformatics, Computer Security, Intelligent Systems, Networked and Distributed Systems, Search Engines, Software Engineering, Web Based Computing. In addition, students undertake elective courses (subjects) and a research project or minor thesis in their area of their specialisation.
