The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Punjab, was established
under the Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006 and is registered with University Grants
Commission (UGC), New Delhi. It is a fully residential University established
for the development and advancement of legal education. In order to meet the
challenges of globalisation and liberalisation a Centre for Excellence in legal
education, RGNUL was established at Patiala in 2006.

With in a short span of its establioshment the University has established a well-resourced Library developed by a team of qualified professional Library staff. The entire ground floor of the Academic block of the University has been dedicated for the Library has ben divided into four major sections, the Reference Section, the Periodical Section, the General Section and the Technical Section.
