This clinical-based programme in General Medicine employs practical approach to learning. The faculty of General Medicine is one the most popular faculty in the Academy. The three main areas of specialisation include Surgery, Obstertrics and Gynecology, and Internal Diseases. In general, a six years study period is required by students for studying various clinical disciplines, such as surgical, eye, skin, and infectious diseases. The modules covered include public health administration, business aspects and economics of health care and hospital management along with basic understanding of specialist studies such as Clinical Pharmacology, Radiodiagnostics and Radiotherapy, Medical Genetics, Forensic Medicine, Psychiatry, Therapeutic Physical Training, Neurology, Dermatology, Medical Monitoring and several other related disciplines. The other modules covered in the curriculum are:

• Emergency Care - theories, practice and team approach;
• Physician Assistance - clinical medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, professional practice issues and laboratory medicine;
• Patient Assessment - advanced evaluation in primary care setting and field experience; and
• Surgical principles and procedures.
