The faculty of General Medicine is one the most popular faculty in the St. Petersburg State Medical Academy. Every year, almost 1500 students are trained to serve as General Practitioners. The three main areas of specialisation include Surgery, Obstertrics and Gynecology, and Internal Diseases. In general, a six years study period is required by students for studying various clinical disciplines, such as surgical, eye, skin, and infectious diseases.

Pharmacy and Medicine

Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It is also expected that students must have passed the following subjects individually- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. The cut-off marks for an SC/ST and OBC applicant is 40%.
