Diploma of Community Welfare Work

This diploma course is AQF recognized and NSW VETAB approved. It forms a part of CHCO2 Community Services Training Package, which in turn is endorsed by ANTA. Graduates of this course can work in the community services industry as case coordinator, case manager, social welfare worker, early intervention coordinator and similar positions. They may also work in organizations dealing with child protection, community health, disability and youth services and family welfare.

This course fulfills the standards set as the eligibility criteria for membership of the Australian Institute of Welfare and Community Workers (AIWCW). The students of the course need to undertake 400 hours of field placement, mostly on a voluntary basis and without any remuneration in fourth and the eighth terms. During this fieldwork training, they will be assessed and supervised by qualified experts.
