Course Name:Bachelor of Agriculture Course Description:The Bachelor of Agriculture teaches students to apply the principles and knowledge of science, economics and management of natural resources for agricultural purposes. Students undertake core subjects in agricultural production systems, land resource management, plant function, soil and water resources, chemistry, biology, experimental design and statistical methods, information technology and communication, economics of resource use, financial management, and human resource management. All students are required to undertake an industry project, in collaboration with academic and industry advisers, allowing them to investigate a specific agricultural issue or industry. They are required to develop a proposal, undertake a literature review, define and apply the research methodology in conducting the investigation, and analyze and write up the results. The course is flexible and allows students to put together a program that reflects their interests - be it science, management, or a generalist course, with electives taken across a number of disciplines.
