The Master of Information Systems provides an advanced course of study for practicing IT professionals who wish to upgrade their knowledge and add value to their practical experience. The program interests information systems professionals wanting to cover state-of-the-art subject matter and who may require part time flexibility. Graduates of the program are eligible to be accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the Professional level.

Entry Requirements

:

The admission criteria are different for admission to different programs. For the 200 point program, the candidate must fulfill the following:

  • An undergraduate degree in Information Systems or a relevant discipline with an average of at least 65%

For the 150 point program, the candidate must fulfill one of the following:

  • An undergraduate degree in Information Systems or a relevant discipline with an average of at least 65% and one year of documented, relevant work experience
  • An undergraduate degree in Information Systems or a relevant discipline and the Postgraduate Certificate in Information Systems with an average of at least 65% in the Postgraduate Certificate, or equivalent
  • An undergraduate degree in any discipline with an average of at least 65% and five years of documented, relevant work experience

For the 100 point program, the candidate must fulfill one of the following:

  • A four year Honours degree in Information Systems with an average of at least 65%, or equivalent
  • An undergraduate degree in Information Systems or a relevant discipline, one year of documented, relevant work experience and the Postgraduate Certificate in Information Systems with an average of at least 65%, or equivalent
  • An undergraduate degree in any discipline, five years of documented, relevant work experience and the Postgraduate Certificate in Information Systems with an average of at least 65%, or equivalent
