BSc (Hons) Psychology
Accredited by the British Psychological Society, the graduates who achieve second class honours or higher in this course are eligible for Graduate Membership of the Society with the Graduate Basis for Registration, helping them to clear the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist. The curriculum focuses on a wide range of transferable skills that are much in demand in the job market.
The staff members are active as researchers and the project work in the fourth years, offers an opportunity to the students to actively get engaged with current psychology research work and form links with professional psychologists in the region. The course imparts understanding of normal and abnormal behaviour and explores the issues of mood swings, drug use and crime along with the study of mental or neurological disorders and developmental disorders.

Overseas students need to clear Band 6.0 in IELTS with no band lower than 5.0 or an equivalent qualification in a recognized English Language proficiency test. All applicants should have CC at GCE A level with English, History, Geography, Modern Studies, Psychology or other literate subjects or an equivalent qualification. Mature students and school leavers will be accessed on the same platform. However, people with professional qualifications and/or work experience that prove their ability to benefit from the course are also judged on an individual basis.
