This masters program in Bioinformatics has around 20 seats. It focuses on the thorough knowledge of how to apply the tools and concepts of Bioinformatics to the problems related to Biology and Living Sciences. The graduates of the program get practical experience through a four month project where they have to work in an industry or research laboratory.

The curriculum includes use of the latest information technology to analyze biological data and use it for various processes such as drug design, genome data analysis, gene expression profiling and micro arrays. It also touches upon the fields of molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, database management and computational programming & techniques.

Entry Requirements

:

All candidates interested in the course should have an Honours degree in the field of Biosciences or an equivalent academic qualification, extensive experience in the relative arenas or perhaps even the membership of a relevant professional body. Overseas students should fulfill the minimum English Language competence requirements of IELTS 6.0 band with no sub score lower than 5.0 or equivalent recognized English proficiency test scores.
