One of the oldest degrees in New Zealand in the field of Applied Psychology, the MSc in Industrial and Organizational Psychology program is a 2-year program in Applied Psychology (APSY). Open to 15 to 20 students per year, the students admitted in the program are often business and psychology graduates from New Zealand, Europe and Asia with a few HR professionals. After this program, graduates may enroll in the Diploma in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and successfully complete it to become a Registered Psychologist in New Zealand .
The program trains the students in:
- Selection and placement of employees,
- Optimizing workplace performance,
- Enhancing work life,
- Workplace Ergonomics,
- Developing Industrial Relations, and
- Training and development.
