Edinburgh University Library's collections serve the University's teaching
and research needs, and are dispersed over several sites. Most of the
collections of printed books are listed in the Library Catalogue. Along with a
host of printed material, a large number of audiovisual materials and an
increasing number of electronic journals and other e-resources are also
available. The library is the primary support location for all the main subjects
of Humanities and Social Science, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine and Science
and Engineering. It also contains special collections, including rare and early
printed books, manuscripts, archives and theses.
Edinburgh University Library offers a wide range of digital imaging services
for users of Special Collections ranging from photocopying to more specialised
services such as digital imaging, colour copying, and printing from microfilm.
The university is home to 65 sports clubs and makes innumerable sports and
