University of Kent

The University of Kent at Medway was founded in 2000 in conjunction with Mid-Kent College. It was originally based at Horsted and the Bridge Wardens' College, Chatham. In September 2005, the University of Kent at Medway moved from its Horsted premises to the newly developed Pembroke campus which it shares with the Universities of Greenwich, Canterbury Christ Church University, Mid-Kent College and University College for the Creative Arts.

The University of Kent was granted its Royal Charter in 1965 and the first students arrived in the October of that year. The main campus is The University of Kent at Canterbury covering 300 acres just over a mile from Canterbury's city centre. The Medway School of Pharmacy was opened in 2004 and is a joint school with the University of Greenwich on the Pembroke campus in Chatham. In addition, The University of Kent at Tonbridge offers part-time provision in west Kent and The University of Kent at Brussels offers postgraduate law, politics and international...

The University has three associate colleges: Canterbury College, Mid-Kent College and South Kent College.
