Beginning in 1796, the University of Strathclyde was a realization of John Anderson's (founder and professor of Natural Philosophy at Glasgow University) vision of developing a center of education -- a university open to everyone. Presently, Strathclyde is the third largest university in Scotland. The university offers its students a flexible and innovative learning environment. Its own campus village is situated right in the heart of Glasgow. It has a strength of over 1,440 students while 500 more live in the accommodation provided by the university, much of it being in the fashionable Merchant City.

Its second campus, Jordanhill lies in the west of Glasgow and has its own residence halls. The University of Strathclyde ensures a comfortable stay to the students, so as to help them focus on their education. Apart from a well-equipped library, Glasgow provides a vibrant sport, culture and nightlife thus ensuring an all round development of the students....
