Course Name:M.Sc in Physics Course Description:The M.Sc. Physics degree, allots credits to students. students must choose courses amounting to a total of 90 credits during the year, in order to obtain sufficient coursework credits for the programme. Students opt for specialisation courses. This is supported by an extensive programme of research seminars by internal and external speakers. The supervised research project is the major focus of the course study. Students choose the project early in the academic year and work on it in parallel with the lecture courses. Not all courses run every year. The detailed course curriculum for each term is as follows:
Autumn term: Atom-Light Interactions; Atomic Structure and Angular
Momentum; Condensed State Physics I; Cosmology; Data Analysis Techniques;
Further Quantum Mechanics; General Relativity; Nuclear and Particle Physics I;
Quantum Mechanical Models of Solids; Relativistic Quantum Fields I.
