The Waiariki Institute of Technology, established in 1978, is one of the largest tertiary institutes outside the university centres and is located in New Zealand. School of Forestry, Wood Processing and Biotechnology - it is equipped to train people for careers in Forestry and Wood Manufacturing in three distinct areas. From primary industry roles – such as Silviculture and Practical Logging, on to processing and manufacturing – Saw Doctors and Timber Machinists, all the way through to Forest Managers and Harvest Planning.
