Hi. I have done my MSc. in Environmental Biology. I alkso have two years of work experience. During my masters we were trained in computational biology including a little bit of high level maths. Though I am weak in maths , I discovered I am very good at programming. So I have great interest in Bioinformatics as a career. Kindly tell me whether I should do a PhD directly , or do I need to do a masters in it, or do I need to do a course in programming firms , like some thing that will teach me database management systems & oracle etc. And which is the best university in australia to do it, and also which is the best way I should go about it, i.e, whether I should do a course in bio informatics, or computers or directly enrol for a PhD.

Answer 1: Would advise you to stick to your current stream only and then present your work for phd. If the University accepts your research,you can go for it.
